University Reform

educating ...

Engineering is the driving force behind industrial development throughout the world. Young people must be equipped with competencies and skills to build Ethiopia's competitiveness and prepare the country for the demands of a globalized economy. Therefore, reforming the engineering faculties is an essential part of ecbp to support Ethiopian efforts for rapid industrial development. Capacity building at university level is a key factor in achieving this goal.

Reforms started at the Addis Ababa University and are now being carried to universities throughout the country. The aim is to modernize curricula and implement new, demand-driven graduate and postgraduate programs, create linkages with industries, establish cooperation with universities in other countries and promote eLearning.
