50,000 euros Available during Business Plan Training

 

Competitive business plans will be eligible for up to 50,000 euros.

The Engineering Capacity Building Program (ecbp) is launching a new Business Plan Training program which has the potential to earn participants up to 50,000 euros towards realizing their business plans. Applications will be accepted from 1st of July 2008 through the 14 of August. ecbp will hold a press conference on Thursday July 10th, 2008 at 4:00pm in its Headquarters, the Yewudbar Building next to Alem Cinema on Bole Road.

ecbp is looking for young entrepreneurs with a university degree or 3-5 years experience in business with a business idea and a draft business plan to apply for the training. From the applicants 20 participants will be chosen for the training, after which a private investor, Mr. Felix Ahlers from Germany, will provide up to 50,000 euros towards the start up of the best prepared and most feasible business plans.

The training, which is scheduled to take place during late October, 2008 will be given by Mr. Felix Ahlers who holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago and is an accomplished entrepreneur.  The training will instruct participants on business plan development using the method of the Kellogg School and will involve real business cases and the participants’ actual business ideas which will be developed into proper business plans.

ecbp is an Ethiopian program established under the Ministry of Capacity Building with the support of the German government. It works towards creating employment opportunities for students through reform of University’s faculties of technology, TVET reform, improved infrastructure of Ethiopian products to be competitive in the world market and strengthening the private sector which ecbp considerers to be the engine of development.
